1. Multiple Submissions
Work submitted for publication must be previously unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere and, if accepted, it should not then be published elsewhere in the same form or language. Please discuss with the Editor in Chief if a submission has previously been published elsewhere in another language. If previously published parts of text are to be included, the copyright holder's permission must have been obtained prior to submission.
2. Conflict of Interest
a. All persons who have a reasonable claim to authorship must be named in the manuscript as co-authors; the corresponding author must be authorized by all co-authors to act as an agent on their behalf in all matters pertaining to the publication of the manuscript, and the order of names should be agreed by all authors.
b. Please supply all details required by any funding and grant-awarding bodies as an Acknowledgement on the title page of the manuscript, in a separate paragraph, as follows:
- For single agency grants: "This work was supported by the [Funding Agency] under Grant [number xxxx]."
- For multiple agency grants: "This work was supported by the [Funding Agency 1] under Grant [number xxxx]; [Funding Agency 2] under Grant [number xxxx]; and [Funding Agency 3] under Grant [number xxxx]."
c. Authors must also incorporate a Disclosure Statement which will acknowledge any financial interest or benefit they have arising from the direct applications of their research
3. Non-discriminatory language
For all manuscripts non-discriminatory language is mandatory. Sexist or racist terms must not be used.
4. Anti-Plagiarism Policy
The editors will take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification/fabrication, among others. In no case shall APJED or its editors encourage such misconduct, or knowingly allow such misconduct to take place. The Editorial Board of APJED undertakes to publish all corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies as soon as possible if and when they are required.
Authors are required to ensure that the submission has not been previously published, that permission has been obtained for the use of copyrighted material and that they do not infringe on the rights of third parties. Authors are encouraged to check for plagiarism using plagiarism checker software.
